Kindergarten Registration is Now OPEN

Discover Kindergarten in Limestone. We can't wait to meet our newest Bulldogs! More information can be found here: Discover Kindergarten

Kindergarten Registration and Out of Boundary Registration

Do you have a child ready to start Kindergarten this September? If your child is four- or five-years-old by the end of December (2026), now is the time to register. Limestone offers Kindergarten in both English and French Immersion—where 85% of instruction is in French—plus a strong focus on the core skills of reading, writing, and math. With greater choice in schools and future programming, your child can discover a sense of belonging, while learning the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. For more information, please visit limestone.on.ca/kindergarten

In Limestone, students may be permitted to attend any school within the board when there is available student space, upon submission and approval of the proper application. Please note only one application per student can be processed; please do not submit more than one application for multiple school locations. If multiple applications are submitted, families will be contacted to select which school application they would like processed, and all other applications will be removed from the system.

The board is not responsible for the provision of any transportation for students outside of their regular school boundary area. This applies to both students within Limestone’s geographic boundaries (out of boundary), and students who live outside of those boundaries (out of district).

To find the name and location of your in-boundary or home school(s), enter the student’s home address into Tri-Board's Locate A School tool.

Host an International Student

Limestone is proud of our long tradition of hosting students from other countries.  The demand for Kingston, and Canada, as a learning destination is rapidly growing.  Students from over 15 different countries are here now staying with great homestay families in Limestone. Our International Education team is looking for more families to become homestay hosts to great international students.

We currently have 19 students on our waiting list that have applied to Limestone for 2026-2027 and need a home. They range from one semester to one year stays and are from Germany, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Slovakia, Czechia, Italy and Denmark.

Host families will be paid a tax-free monthly stipend to host students. All students in the program attend local intermediate or secondary schools and range in age from 12 to 17 years old. Our International Education team works hard to make a great match for your family, that can last a lifetime.

Families can learn more by visiting Limestone’s International Education website or phoning the International Education offices at 613-544-7745 ext. 2888

SCHOOL SAFETY

Drop off/Pick up

Children and families are highly encouraged to use active transportation to/from school. This helps clear a crowded parking lot and street during peek times. Please remember that our streets are a no parking zone. If you must drive your child, please do not drop off children in the parking lot and have them walk through it as it is a congested area with traffic. Thank you for parking in the lot and then walking your child to the gate.

Please Close the Gates

We encourage families to drop children off at the school gates, rather than coming onto the school yard in the morning. For the safety of students, we are trying to ensure that the gates remain closed. If you do need to be on the yard, please ensure you close the gate (Earl Street Gate and McDonnell Street gate) when you leave.

SAFE ARRIVAL, School Messenger and School Day

Please continue to call in to Safe Arrival, or mark your students' late/absent in the Safe Arrival App to ensure that you don't get unwanted phone calls. The system will automatically call out if you have not marked your student as being away/late. Current contact information is necessary to ensure you get school emails/texts/calls and aren't missing out. Please call the office so that our Office Administrator can update your information as needed - thank you. Information for Safe Arrival, School Messenger and School Day (online payment and permissions) is below. .

This code of behaviour sets out the standards of behaviour which are expected of all members of the school community in order to create a positive climate in the school. All members of the school community - parents, guardians, staff, students and guests - must comply with the behaviour expectations while on school property, at school-related activities, or in other circumstances, wherein engaging in the activity will have an impact on the school climate. Respect, responsibility, civility and academic excellence are promoted so that all members of the school community will feel safe, comfortable and accepted.

Bus Requests are Through Triboard.ca

Most children in our community are within walking distance to our school and we encourage active transportation (biking, walking, scooter). Bike racks are located on the grass outside the gate of the main playground. Please encourage children to NOT cut through the parking lot as this is a busy place in the mornings and after school. Children who are out of school boundary are not guaranteed busing and families should arrange for drop off at 9:05 am and pick up at 3:25 pm. There is no supervision on the yard after 3:25 so it is important that pick ups are punctual. Morning supervision begins at 8:45am.
